ERP Techno-Functional Consultant (Odoo)

Role Overview:

As Techno-Functional Conultant, you need to have hands-on in gathering client requirements, configuring and customizing Odoo applications, and managing both backend and frontend development. This includes performing server setup, high availability configurations, and creating seamless user experiences on web portals and core ERP modules. This role requires someone capable of directly implementing all aspects of the solution, from development to deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Expertise:

· Gather and analyze client business requirements, proposing and configuring Odoo modules to meet client needs.

· Design and customize Odoo applications across multiple modules, including HRMS, CRM, Accounting, Sales, and Inventory, etc.

· Conduct client workshops, demos, and training sessions, focusing on effective system use and best practices.

· Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot functional issues, and enhance system performance.

· Create and manage comprehensive functional documentation, including BRD, FSD, and training materials, etc.

Technical Expertise:

· Backend Development: Customize and implement Odoo modules according to specific requirements, covering database management (PostgreSQL), ORM customization, and REST/SOAP API integrations.

· Frontend Development: Develop responsive web portals and dashboards using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and QWeb, ensuring a user-friendly experienceRequired Skills and

· Server and High Availability (HA) Setup: Set up and optimize Linux/Ubuntu environments with high availability (HA) configurations to ensure performance and reliability.

· Data Migration and Version Upgrades: Execute data migrations and manage Odoo version upgrades, maintaining accuracy and minimizing downtime.

Project and Client Engagement:

· Work directly with clients to clarify requirements, provide progress updates, and adjust solutions based on feedback.

·  Collaborate closely with both functional and technical teams, ensuring alignment on project objectives and timelines.

 Quality Assurance and Testing:

·  Conduct functional and technical testing, including QA and performance testing, to ensure system robustness and reliability. 

·  Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues proactively during the project lifecycle

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

· Minimum of 7+ years in an Odoo Techno-Functional role with hands-on ERP implementation experience.

· Proficiency in backend and frontend technologies: Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and QWeb.

· Experience in server setup, high availability (HA) configurations, and Ubuntu/Linux environments.

· Strong experience with GitHub for version control, Odoo.sh for deployment, and API integrations.

· Skilled in data migration and Odoo version upgrades, including maintaining high availability.

· Expertise in Odoo functional capabilities, including configuring and customizing core modules.

· Proficiency in preparing documentation (BRD, FSD, RTM) and conducting functional testing
